Happy Halloween

Yesterday I found on YouTube the new fan made video by Morrissey Unofficial Videos and few minutes later it was on Morrissey Central.

Today, while travelling from Somewhere in the North of Italy to Milan, I checked the gallery in my smartphone and I found the photo of the Halloween-themed drawing I made on my previous diary, one year ago; it is a little divertissement with Morrissey as Dracula and quotes from two of his songs: a bit of the refrain from the classic Jack the Ripper and the incipit of the unreleased song Action is my Middle Name, recorded in 2011 in Dublin and whose lyrics perfectly fit to the theme. The only released version of Action is my Middle Name is the live version recorded at the Maida Vale Studios on 15th June 2011 for Janice Long's BBC2 radio show.

Back to the new fan made video: I like the choice of the 1992 live version at Le Zénith and I love the original recorded version, but I enjoy even more the nowadays live version: it is always great fun and I am never tired of hearing Morrissey doing his variations on Renfield's rambling from the 1931 film Dracula.

About the use of AI - something I avoid - I find it more interesting here than in other videos, especially the very cringe one I talked about, among other things, in this article. But it is better that clever people like Billy Bragg and Dave Haslam do not watch this fan made video, otherwise they will really believe that Morrissey is Jack the Ripper reborn in 1959.

By the way, some comments on YouTube (see below) are just hilarious: who can seriously think that Morrissey would kill or actually kills women, men or whatever?
