Jumpscare for Halloween
Updated: 5 minutes ago
I am still on this bloody train, the dog is sleeping but I can't, because of the lights hurting my eyes. I have a look at Morrissey Central, I click the link without noticing that it is an IG content... and I end up on one of the cringiest thing I have ever seen: Michael Jackson with Morrissey. As I am not on IG, I cannot hear this content and I am quite glad I can't: I was the only child in primary and middle school who did not like Michael Jackson - in fact, I did not like him anymore because he really scared me since I saw on a kids magazine - Il Corriere dei Piccoli - a recent photo of him and realized he was not the young boy singing with his brothers in an old cartoon broadcasted by RAI 1, but a grown-up man who had changed so much his face that his smile was fake and even his gaze was disturbingly strange.

What went wrong with the small, lovely child he once was?

Moreover, I could not stand the fact that MJ had a private zoo, because I have always hated zoos, dolphinariums, and every sort of prisons for animals. I don't even want to talk about his attitude towards children: I do hope he was really innocent, but I can't help having many doubts about his innocence.
I pity the child and the teenager MJ bullied by his horrible and jealous father, but I cannot pity the adult MJ, nor justify his attitude towards wild animals and - perhaps, hopefully not - towards children.
By the way, I was indifferent to 99% of his music and I hated to be forced to sing We are the World (we even did not even really know the lyrics) with the older kids in my primary school, while I would have rather joined the children's choir singing the refrain of Panic and I wished The Smiths had the place they deserved on the kids magazine I used to read, instead of seeing the same mainstream bands and singers every week. My parents and siblings did not buy music magazines, like Rockerilla, so kids were fed with commercial stuff, but I was weird and I cling to the radio in order to find really interesting voices and music.
About The Smiths's song, I have always find Some Girls are Bigger than Others hilarious, especially the lines about the crate of ale Anthony, Cleopatra: I imagined them as Richard Burton and Liz Taylor, because of the film I watched on the TV during the Summer. Moreover, songs like this one are also the proof that Morrissey has never been a depressing songwriter.
Back to the post on Central, I guess the Morrissey-soloers are already complaining about it, but I will not waste my valuable time by visiting their forum and reading their rants.
[To be continued tomorrow: I am finally arriving in Paris.]
