Happy Update

Good news from Morrissey: both 7-inch are on their way and they will be released on Oscar Wilde's birthday.

After another failed attempt to have a chance to get my first passport, I did need some good news and (only God knows how) I knew that I would find them on Morrissey Central. I hope Bonfire of Teenagers will be released next year, before of after the new album announced two months ago.

Vegan gelato. Today, I enjoyed three cruelty-free flavours: pistacchio, vanilla and dragon fruit. In Italy, even when I was a child, I have always found various vegan options among sorbetti and gelati and nowadays the choice is even larger ; in France things are slightly changing, more in Paris than ailleurs in the Country, which is not yet as vegan-friendly as my Homeland.

[ 21st August 2026 - Update - Today, at 11:00 AM, I have noticed a freshly added message on Morrissey Central whose title is a quote from the Italian-American Timi Yuro's song Interlude, written in 1968 by Hal Shaper and Georges Delerue and covered by Morrissey and Siouxsie in 1994. The new message on Central shows two fan videos: the first one is about Interlude and it is made by a fan whose YouTube channel is called "Morrissey Unofficial videos"; the second video, by George Rae, is a nice, short presentation of the news about the 7-inch announced three days ago and the list of the USA upcoming concerts.

I appreciate how Morrissey acknowledges the committement of his fans and the time they spend on their fan made creations, and I like many videos made by the person behind "Morrissey Unofficial videos", but the cringeness of this video will not make me want to watch it a second time.

I guess the title of the new post on Central is addressed to the usual online whiners and bashers who waste their time by wondering (and even hoping) what could go wrong in Morrissey's career next. There will be people discussing and complaining online about this and that, but - who cares? I will not be there. ]
