I was There - somehow - in my Mind

And I knew it would be a Great Time

Well done, Silver Boy:

Keep spreading your Joy

Enlightening Souls and Faces;

I will see You in Nearby Places

An Italian in Paris

11th January 2026

Poem above by me, as always; the pictures below are by someone else. As I am not on social media, I have found these photos on Morrissey-solo, with the due credits to the people who took them.

Thanks to an unkown (to me) lady called Anna Gomez for the first photo.

This androgynous picture of Oscar Wilde reminds me of... Someone I know very well.

The two pictures below are by basia_ana. I saw her at every gig I attended in 2023 and 2025 and I can say she is a nice, quiet and really kind lady who does a great job when she is in charge of the list for the first row.

I will thank her when I see her again, if (hopefully) she comes to Europe next month.

Oh! Some Perfect Blue on Morrissey's left eyebrow....

Glad to see that Little Tony is still singing Cuore matto before Morrissey's concert.

You can find here the full footage of this TV appearance (in 1968), presented by Walter Chiari, the comedian and TV showman who starred on the backdrop of the very first Morrissey's concert I finally had the chance to attend in 2009.

Many thanks to basia_ana for her pictures and thanks a lot to forgivemeJESUS 1 for sharing on YouTube the full Morrissey's gig in San Antonio.

Not surprisingly (at least, to me) none of the songs from the new album was in the setlist, and Morrissey joking about the reason why Make-up is a Lie is not yet scheduled for the world première is hilarious. Saying to the crowd that the band have to learn how to play it is a funny way to make fun of the usual moaners and haters who waste their time and energies by constantly bashing the band, especially Carmen Vandenberg, Camila Grey and Jesse Tobias.

I also love Morrissey's short monologue at the beginning:

"I'm very happy to be here, I'm very happy to be alive, I'm very happy to happy, I'm very happy to be absolutely depraved... That's it!" (Morrissey to the crowd in San Antonio, just before singing the first song, There is a Light that never goes out, on Saturday 10th January 2026.

Well done, Silver Boy!

Be Young, be Foolish, be Happy, be YOU.
