My Soul, let's go and enjoy

This lovely Sunny Day

For the Pouring Rain

Will fall again tomorrow

And even if I love the Rain

And her Dancing Drops

I come from the Sun's Home

And I Iove his Warm Light more.

A beautiful classic song in my head...

Blue Skies shining at me: Nothing but Blue Skies do I see. Bluebirds singing their Song: Nothing but Bluebirds all day long.

This morning I had a long walk and cuddled many cheerful Dogs, but I did not took any pictures at all: sometimes, as I used to do before having a smartphone on April 2014, I just want to enjoy the wonderful sight of Beauty, Goodness and Truth around me.

Back for lunch, the first surprise came from YouTube's algorithm: Morrissey singing The More You ignore Me, the Closer I get, last night. "Molte grazie!", indeed. :)

Many other videos of Morrissey's concert in Louisville:

Billy Bragg... Oh, no, I am joking: Billy Budd, of course... Such a great opener! It was really electrifying when I heard it live for the first time in Hamburg, last February, and it is always an amazing way to start the gig.

How Soon is Now? - Morrissey's humourous dialogue with a fan and his unique banters are a treat.

I'm throwing my Arms around Paris. This song reminds me of the very first time I saw Morrissey in concert at the Zénith, in 2009, when he started the concert by saying:

"Paris, the City of Lovers, and in the midst of it all... There is me." (Morrissey, Paris, Le Zénith, 12th November 2009)

I was in the third row, wearing a Felix the Cat black t-shirt, and I was so impressed and happy to see that Morrissey, who had turned 50 that year, was still the same he has always been: chatty, witty and funny, energic, soulful, and genuinely intrigued by the people who attend his shows. The guy who invented the ridiculous nickname "The Pope of Mope" has never watched neither listened to Morrissey for real.

Kerching Kerching, as moving as always, but with a different backdrop: Elsa Lanchester in The Bride of Frankenstein - the backdrop for All You need is Me during the 2025 tour - replaces now the photo of Francis Bacon in Paris, taken in 1932 by Diana Watson.

Sure enough, the Telephone rings, from the unreleased - but finally upcoming, I hope - album Bonfire of Teenagers.

Shoplifters of the World Unite. My totebag would surely scare the shop assistants, par les temps qui courent.

Now my Heart is Full... What else?

Of course, the encore: There is a Light that never goes out. Few gentle and very lucky huggers and some "nice try", as Morrissey says while singing, seconds before throwing his t-shirt to the enthousiastic crowd.

Many thanks to Jerry Colvin and Zachary Culbertson for their videos.

The second surprise was in the kitchen: this lovely black cricket. I would have loved to let him stay inside, but it's not my home, it's their home...

Well, at least, nobody here kills insects.

Third surprise: another passeggiata, a long chat and a delicious vegan gelato "Terre sicane" (Bronte's pistacchio, candied orange peel and dark chocolate) with my cousin (who is also my godfather) and his friend.

Fourth surprise: the Moon is calling me to play in the courtyard.

Poem, article and photographs by me.
