The Sun has melted the Fog
Who kept the Sky captive
And now I can see your Eyes
In all their Light Blue Brightness
Dear Wise Man, now Centenarian
How I wish I could rewind Time
And unchain my captive Mind
Print my Poems and my Drawings
Without any Hesitation
And allow You to give Me
Your Farewell Gift - the Book
You wanted so bad to publish
For You knew I should be known
Despite my Modesty and Shyness
But I was wrapped up in the Fog
Of the complete Antithesis of Love
Who daily fed my old Black Dog
And robbed Me of my Inner Light
And I was so scared of the Future
That I could not realize nor accept
You were the Third Pillar to die
In less than five Years of my Life
You knew it and You kissed my Cheek
As the Grandpa I've never had
Wishing me a Merry Christmas and
A Happy New Year You would not end
Four months later, for once, I had
Some Good News to tell You, but
Your Number was disconnected
Three Months of Doppelgängers
Appearing everywhere in Paris
Then I finally came back Home
And was told that You were gone
When Spring had just begun
Happy Birthday to You, even if
It's the seventeenth I cannot wish
In the City I was born and You not
You made Palermo your Home
And made Me feel less Alone
In my World of Words and Birds
When the Ordinary Boys and Girls
Called Me the weirdest of the Nerds
The Sun has melted the Fog
Who kept the Sky captive
And now I can see your Eyes
In all their Light Blue Brightness
