This is not a Country for Young People

Cartoni Morti (here is his YouTube channel), an Italian satirical cartoonist and YouTuber, has posted today a comic strip about the brain drain which is one of the most serious problems in Italy since three decades.

My Country is the only one in the whole World which is glad and proud when Italians are successful... abroad.

I partially agree to this comic strip, so I had to correct the part about the young people leaving Italy: most of them are not rich at all and (I know very well what I am talking about) they are the very first to leave, after collecting money by doing student jobs and saving every hard-earned euro cent.

Below, Cartoni Morti's comic strip corrected by me, and my screenshot of the YouTube post. (C) Cartoni Morti.

Meanwhile, instead of stopping the new, dramatic Italian diaspora, the government's propaganda is spreading fake news via the social media, persuading many Europeans (I can see the effect on French people) that Italy is the Paese di Bengodi described by Carlo Collodi in Pinocchio. When I ask them: "Haven't you ever noticed how many Italian expats live in France and in other Countries? If Italy is such a wealthy, wonderful place, as [the media made] you believe, why did all these expats (including myself) leave their Country?". They have no answer, of course, but they start to reflect, as the seed of the doubt has been sown in their brain.

Short article and necessary corrections to Cartoni Morti's comic strip by me.
