An Unexpected Find: "Humoresque" (1946)
Looking for some pictures of the concert in Lowell, I had a look on Morrissey Central and I found something else, but... what an unexpected find: a fan made video by Morrissey Unofficial Videos with one of the most cynical, darkest and saddest songs written by Morrissey: Lifeguard Sleeping, Girl Drowning, from the studio album Vauxhall and I (1994), combined with some Van Gogh's paintings and AI animations of Morrissey's photographs from the Nineties and pictures from the photo session for the album Ringleader of the Tormentors (2006) which replace actor John Garfield in various scenes from Humoresque (1946), an old American film I watched once, when I was a small child, when RAI TV used to broadcast old movies during the lazy and boring Summer early afternoons. My Father was already back to work after the lunch break at home, while my Mother had a nap because, as all the real housewives (not the stupid, rich, desperate ones from a certain TV series I have always despised and refused to watch) she had been working very since 7 A. M.
My siblings used to have a nap too, even if their work was just studying for exams at the University.
As for me, the only child in my family, I hated so much naps and I even wished I could avoid sleeping at all, as my brain ran very fast (and it still does) and I had plenty of ideas, melodies and stories popping up in my mind) and I loved to stay awake and watch old films on the TV.
