Amazing in Hamburg: my first Morrissey's gig in 2026

Bluebird of Happiness.

I'll soon return to Paris because I am not on holidays yet, but how I would love to be in Frankfurt tomorrow...
It was such a joy to see Morrissey arriving at the Sporthalle greeting, bowing and smiling at us, and pleased to see a Perfect Bluebird of Happiness on his left eyebrow.
It was quite strange and a bit funny to see Morrissey from above, like he sees us from the stage; I would have loved to see him nearer, but we were twenty people or more and the security was understandably not keen on letting us waiting for Morrissey. So, I would not have asked more, for I was extremely happy to have the chance to meet and greet Morrissey outside the stage for the very first time, even if it was from the balcony.
And, of course, I was immensely glad to hear and see him on stage again.
I could have been in the list for the front row because I went to the Sporthalle around 8:30 A.M., but I did not see the people who were already queueing (some had even spent the night there) when I was walking in the parking of the Sporthalle. After having circumnavigated the Sporthalle and noticed the bus without disturbing the guys who were starting to work, I went to a café because I needed a hot drink and then I spent some time there writing and drawing, before coming back to the Sporthalle and realizing that the list was closed.
Anyway, I was in the second row and I fully enjoyed the concert and also the pre-show with the first part with the audio of music and songs and the second part with videos of live shows.
Maybe I am the only one who really likes the pre-show and is never tired of it, but to me it is the perfect way to await, meditate and discover or rediscover music and artists from a time I was not even born.
I hate when people chat during the pre-show and I find very stupid when certain people start booing and protesting because they are tired to wait for the concert : it is the pre-show and if one attends to many concerts, there will be few changes, but the pre-show is the introduction to the concert and, even when one has already watched it, there are always many unnoticed details to get.
Little Tony with his Cuore matto is the only Italian or, more precisely, as he was from San Marino, the only Italian-speaking singer in the videos part of the pre-show.
To me, the pre-show makes me feel as I was invited at a friend's home and I listened to the music he or she likes: a thing that was very common when Morrissey and his older fans were just kids, and that was still common among the teenagers from my generation: to gather around the music. So, during the pre-show I avoid the chatting and I listen and watched what Morrissey, in his "virtual home" which is the stage, wants to share with us.
And when I am waiting for the concert and listening to the first part of the pre-show, I think that Morrissey is reading our letters, just like a friend in High School, and I find this very endearing.
As the concert in Athens on 12nd December was cancelled, I have been waiting for five months and a half, since the concert at Villa Bellini in Catania, which was the last I could attend in 2025.
After a freezy-cold, but also very sunny Saturday and also Sunday morning, the weather started to change in the afternoon: plenty of clouds and a freezy-cold wind that I could bear without wearing a cap but my hands did not bear at all.
