Pier Paolo Pasolini was killed fifty years ago.

His friend Ninetto Davoli remembers him and expresses his joy to see how many young people are interested in Pasolini's works and message.

I was not even born when Pasolini died; his murder was planned in order to smear him and the circumstances of his death were not exactly what one would talk about to a child, so his persona was quite a mystery to me when I was in Primary School: all I knew, it was that Pasolini was a great poet, writer, journalist and film director, and that he was killed on the "Day of the Deads".

When I was thirteen, I started to read Pasolini's poems and, like the young people now, I was fascinated by the genius and the courage of Pasolini, who always refused any compromise.
