This year, time is no friend of mine at all, the world is more and more depressing and full of crashing bores and the Black Dog barks and bites a lot.
It is very frustrating for me to have plenty of ideas and many articles in fieri (I have a soft spot for Latin expressions, much more lively than the bland Newspeak nonsense) and not enough time to finish and publish them.
Even more frustrating are the network failures: the most annoying one occurred when I was about to publish an article on Morrissey's birthday, five months ago, and I realized that my whole article was not even saved as a draft, for the surviving draft was just the very first (and incomplete) one. I tried to rewrite it from the beginning, between May and June, but I had to let it unachieved.
The same problem happened last week, when I was about to publish two articles: the first one, celebrating Oscar Wilde's 170th birthday; the second one, reporting my childhood memories about "Ask", the famous song by The Smiths, and its videoclip.
Nevertheless, no matter how frustrating are the lack of time and the network failures: against all odds, I stick to my passions (writing, drawing, taking pictures, singing and dancing) and I shall overcome.
[After I have written the last sentence of this article, this old folk and protest song, made famous by Joan Baez and Pete Seeger, suddenly popped into my mind: I had not listen to it for years]
Below: screenshots of my website dashboard. How many drafts are waiting to see the light!
