"Retrouvailles": a lovely sunny day in Paris with some good friends

Yesterday I enjoyed the retrouvailles with my friends from Bordeaux: we spent a lovely sunny day near the "Luco", nickname of the Jardin du Luxembourg.

After having lunch in an Italian restaurant with many vegetarian and even some vegan options and then a walk from the Luco to the Odéon, we came back to the Panthéon, had a vegan ice-cream with a biscuit spoon before going to the Irish Cultural Centre, visiting the mediathèque and Earthbound (a film installation by Clare Langan) and enjoying the calm and the beauty of the courtyard and the Chapel.

Under divine protection, at Saint Patrick's Chapel.

Saint Patrick and me.

Saint Brigid of Kildare, Saint Patrick and me.

With M. from Bordeaux, a very good friend I have had the chance to meet with her husband at Morrissey's concerts in Dublin, three years ago.

Almost full moon over the Panthéon.

One of the most lovely car that a human mind have ever designed. I have a very soft spot for good old-fashioned cars, like the Cinquecento and the 2CV: if I had a car, I would love to have one of them.

A zombie is approaching in the twilight...

Zombie = walking dead people who watch their not-so-smartphone without noticing what really is worth to look at.

Cruelty-free gourmandise:

Vegan ice-cream made by Roberta, the Italian founder of the gelateria "La Crema". Detail of the picture taken by M.

Everything is vegan but, sadly, they had to remove the vegan mention in their shop because of too many people with stupid prejudices towards veganism ran away.

The queue was very long: many foreigners and also a lot of French people, most of them ignoring that they were about eating a delicious cruelty-free ice-cream.

Below, a nice cadeau from M., a younger friend from M.'s family - it is a bit confusing, but I have many French friends who bear different names with the same initial M.

I tasted the vegan orangettes this morning: they really are a pleasure of the palate...

Merci beaucoup !

Of course, true friendhip is one of the most important and valuable thing in the world.

I have always had few friends because, even when I was much younger, I have never needed company for spending (wasting) time with somebody just to feel like the other people: I would rather stay alone and happy on my own than enduring the company of people I do not like and who do not like me and with whom I cannot share life values and have good, clever and really funny conversations and common interests.

To M. and all my friends from Bordeaux.
