A thought and an artwork by me, followed by some quotes by great people from the last century related to my reflections.
In most cases, what drives people to spend all their time and energy in the attempt of ruining other people's lives by defaming, harassing and bullying them is not just envy, but a desperate need to fill their inner void, because they are unable to do something worthy and meaningful in their own lives.

Below: a drawing I made exactly two years and two months ago: a ballpen portrait of French philosopher and mystic Simone Weil (1909-1943) and an insightful quote by her.

English translation of a quote from Simone Weil's essay Gravity and Grace (original title: La Pesanteur et la Grâce) whose first French edition was posthumously published in 1947. Source here.

Indeed, we have to be careful, in order to prevent degradation, darkness and violence from polluting our thoughts, poisoning our words and having a negative influence on our actions.
Below, a quote from the book of sermons Strength to Love (1963), by Martin Luther King Jr. (1929-1968).

MLK's full quote below from Snopes, an interesting fact-checking website I have just discovered. In a world where quotes are often misattributed, misquoted or even invented, and the social media spread lots of wrong and fake quotes, I always check the sources of what I find online and I highly recommend everybody to do the same.

Article (personal reflections and comments on Weil's and King's quotes) by me, without Artificial Idiocy - I really cannot stand it.
