Before Midnight
Updated: 17 hours ago
Too late to write again my article for Oscar Wilde's birthday which I had published this afternoon, but it was not even been saved in the drafts (Wix, why did you do this to me?!?), I will just say how I am glad for the release of the single Kerching Kerching (from the new album Make-up is a Lie) with Isle of Dogs as the B-side, and Without Music the World dies as the B-side of the single Zoom Zoom the Little Boy (also from Make-up is a Lie) and how I was glad, early this morning, to listen to Isle of Dogs for the first time and to watch the video of Kerching Kerching starring Cliff Richard. The B-side fits perfectly to the A-side as the other side of the same coin.
Well done, Fantastic Bird!
Strolling in my beloved park this morning, I stopped under the canopée of my dearest Sophora Japonica and I played the B-sides on my smartphone for my favourite tree. During Isle of Dogs, a lovely little choir of Great Tits started to chirp just over my head; and, while playing Without Music the World dies, a beautiful Blackbird (maybe the one I rescued from the ravens in 2024) came and started to sing.
I generally do not play music in my park and other gardens because I prefer to listen to my little singing friends, even when they are not great singers, like the Magpies, the Jays, the Ravens and the Green Parakeets; but every time I feel the need to play something (never loudly, of course) and the singer is Morrissey, there are always Birds coming and starting to sing, even when I am on the street - for exemple, a tiny choir of Sparrows started to chirp this Thursday, early in the morning, when I was listening to Morrissey, while going to Alcatraz on foot because the buses changed their itinerary for security reasons and some mortiers de pétards could be heard from the distance. Birds love Morrissey's voice as I do since my childhood.
