Amarcord

Those were the days, when Morrissey was a voice flying from my radio-cassette player to my veins, and I was entering adolescence.

Amarcord, the title of the well-known 1973 film written and directed by Federico Fellini, is the univerbation of "a m'arcôrd", a phrase which means "mi ricordo" ("I remember") in Fellini's native dialect, the Romagnol.

Etymologically, the verb "ricordare" comes from the Latin word "cor" (genitive "cordis"), which became "cuore" ("heart") in modern Italian, and it is true that memories stick to the heart.
