Today, Terence Stamp's journey on Earth has ended; he was 87 years old and his name and fame are so well established that he does not need a presentation, thus I wish to share my personal, not exhaustive selection of five films from Stamp's huge repertoire.

Click on the film titles to open the clips on YouTube.
Billy Budd (1962) directed by Peter Ustinov (who also played the role of Captain Vere) and co-starring Robert Ryan as John Claggart, the cruel master-at-arms, is based on the short novel by Herman Melville and it marks the brilliant film debut of Terence Stamp, starring in the title role.

Poor Cow (1967), also known as No tears for Joy, is a kitchen sink drama film, directed by Ken Loach and starring Carol White in the main role, based on the novel of the same name written by Nell Dunn, who co-wrote the screenplay with Ken Loach.

Teorema (1968), written and directed by Pier Paolo Pasolini and starring Terence Stamp, Silvana Mangano, Massimo Girotti, Anne Wiazemsky, Laura Betti, Andrès José Cruz Soublette, Ninetto Davoli and the poet Alfonso Gatto.

Morte in Vaticano (1982), also known as Vatican Conspiracy, is a strange and interesting film written by Max Savigny and Maurice Serral and directed by Marcello Aliprandi, which is mainly inspired by the mysterious death of pope John Paul I (Giovanni Paolo I, whose real name was Albino Luciani) in 1978, thirty-three days after his election, and only in part inspired by the terrorist attack that almost killed his successor John Paul II in 1981.

Terence Stamp plays the main role of Father Andreani, then pope John Clement I (Giovanni Clemente I); his antagonist is Father Bruno Martello (starred by Fabrizio Bentivoglio) who has renied his former progressist views to embrace integralism ; the cast includes Gabriele Ferzetti in the role of Cardinal Ixaguirre and Paola Molina in the role of Nina, a young terrorist and lover of Father Martello.
The whole film, in its original Italian version with English subtitles, is available on YouTube and I recommend to watch it.

The Limey (1999), a crime movie written by Lem Dobbs and directed by Steven Soderbergh, starring Terence Stamp, Lesley Ann Warren, Luis Guzmán, Barry Newman, Nicky Katt, Joe Dallesandro and Peter Fonda.
