Farewell, Kessler Twins

We were born together

We were child together

In the worst historical time

We grew up together

We left Germany together

We danced in Paris together

Long legs, steels and paillettes

Making Europe and the US

Love Germany again

We moved to Italy together

We loved to live there together

But we missed our Country

And we came back together

We grew old together

We turned 89 together

We could have lived longer

But we were sad and tired of

A World without Grace

We were born in Summer

And we chose November

For the longest Journey

We lived together

We loved together

We died together

Our Mom and our Dog

Were waiting for Us both

And We both came to them

The Kessler Twins ("le gemelle Kessler", in italian) were so loved in Italy that even me, a child born two decades later, knew them.

They still were popular in Italy in the 21st Century and I guess the media are paying a huge tribute to them now.

Maybe my dream before the Dawn was a sign from the Other Side of Life...

Who knows?
